While completing my degree, I began to explore this relationship between natural and artificial environments in a more visual way. Here, I focus on the notion of refuge, which takes the form of a place of worship for humans and thistles for insects. The warm, gradient colors contrast with the highly artificial, textured, and luminous papers, like a looming danger.
